There are some symptoms, in the event of which it is necessary to pass urine without waiting for a scheduled appointment with a gynecologist, namely:
• pain and discomfort in the lumbar region - signs of pyelonephritis or urolithiasis;
• chills and fever - symptoms of inflammation of the kidneys and urinary tract;
• cramps and frequent painful urge to urinate, a feeling of incomplete emptying of the bladder - manifestations of cystitis;
• the presence of streaks of blood in the urine - a sign of infection or the passage of stones;
• an unpleasant or unusual smell - one of the symptoms of diabetes, an inflammatory process;
• high blood pressure, a sharp increase in edema - manifestations of preeclampsia, as well as glomerulonephritis.
In all such situations, you need to contact the doctor leading the pregnancy.
A general urine test during pregnancy is not such a simple study as it might seem at first glance. Therefore, expectant mothers need to approach its delivery carefully and responsibly.
