The Internet space is replete with various articles on the topic of what positions are possible during pregnancy, and which ones it is better to abstain from. Of course, you will have to give up extreme body positions during intimacy, but in general there are no restrictions.
The fact is that the woman herself will subconsciously introduce these restrictions. For example, in the 1st and 2nd trimester the fetus is still very small and the couple as a whole has no restrictions on positions. But when the stomach grows a lot, the only available position is “on its side.”
The only position that gynecologists strongly recommend avoiding in the 2nd and especially the 3rd trimester is “on your back.” This is due to the location of large blood vessels in the mother’s body, through which blood flows to the heart. During the “on the back” position, the weight of the fetus blocks the blood flow in the inferior vena cava, which is why the woman experiences severe discomfort and lack of air, and the baby experiences hypoxia.
Don't be afraid to ask your gynecologist questions during the examination, especially if they relate to your sex life!
