Psychological aspects of pregnancy.

The psychological readiness of a woman for pregnancy and childbirth plays an important role. The harmony of body and soul helps to facilitate the process of bearing a baby and childbirth. However, pregnant women are often prone to nervousness, unreasonable mood swings, various worries and fears. Many women are worried about their new status, relationships with a partner, financial issues, problems at work, possible pathologies in the baby, pain in childbirth, and much more. But you need to understand that negative emotions can only aggravate the situation, stress is harmful for two organisms at once. Because of it, the heartbeat can become more frequent, headache, apathy, and insomnia may occur. Strong emotions can also affect the tone of the uterus, and in the first week, when the fertilized egg has not yet had time to firmly attach to the wall, this threatens to miscarry.

You can and should deal with stress. And for this it is not necessary to take sedatives, which, moreover, may be contraindicated. First of all, it is worth trying to adjust your lifestyle and your attitude to what is happening around. To improve your well-being and uplift your mood, you should:

• more walks in the fresh air;

• to ensure proper sleep and rest;

• perform simple physical exercises and breathing exercises;

• communicate with friends and nice people;

• attend interesting events;

• set aside time for hobbies;

• if necessary, contact a psychologist.

The expectant mother should not forget about the close psychological connection with the baby, which she herself forms. Pleasant thoughts about the child have a positive effect on the emotional state. A little later, when the child develops rapidly in the womb, he will already be able to hear the voice of his mother, respond to her condition. Many experts advise pregnant women to listen to calm classical music and read fairy tales aloud.
